A widespread illness among filmmakers is the neglect of the topic of sound. While cameras and optics are already at a very high level, entry-level technology is often relied on for sound. That's why we called our friends from Shure and recorded an episode about sound with sound engineer Sascha Adams. A small disclaimer first: This is a nerd episode and sometimes we go into quite detail. However, anyone who has basic knowledge will learn a lot about choosing and using the right microphone, how to significantly improve their sound in post-production and how to easily avoid mistakes on set.
